Incumbents that have had more than 2 terms in office have too much "baggage", and too many "commitments" to 'Special Interest .Orgs.' . They cannot help the "Average American", the "Average Family", the "Struggling Worker".
   They cannot "see" the damage that has done to the Country since the 2007 Katrina disaster, which sparked the fear-mongering from the Merchatile Exchange 'experts' about oil shortages, starting the climb to $150.00/brrl oil, which was the final straw that broke the back of the "Global Economy".
   They don't realize that the trillions of dollars given out as "band-aides" allowed businesses the time to re-structure while raising prices to offset they 50 to 100% increase in operating expenses. Bloomberg News has been reporting for many months that these companies are sitting on "Piles-of-Cash", waiting to do something with it.
   But, it isn't just the "Companies" that experienced a 50 to 100% increase in expenses....EVERY American Family did too!!!
   The Incumbents in Government, if they really represented Americans would be telling all these companies to start giving Cost-of-Living raises to the people they have left on their payrole.
   It is a problem for Americans to have people that 'read-a-book' about economics and running companies than people that have "done-it" in Office making decisions. The reason OUR Country started so strong was that every leader in power was a businessman AND experience, giving the "Wisdom", something we don't have in leadership today.

Scary Ignorance

When a panel includes billionaire investor George Soros and Larry Summers, director of President Barack Obama’s National Economic Council, dealing with selling carbon-emissions permits which might generate $38 billion and a financial transactions tax maybe adding $27 billion, you should be nervous. If you have payed attention since the Kyoto agreement there has been billions of dollars made buying "Carbon Credits". It is about making money!

Soros is there because he sees another naive buffoon willing to make laws and rules that makes him money. He 'history' is using "the useful idiots" (as Stalin put it), with their naive, child-like minds.

If you read about history you would have information, so you would stop doing stupid things that only make the World a worse place to live in. They don't add value to your lives, only burden you.

Can we afford to service this debt?

As is the case with mortgages, it's not so much the amount of debt you carry but the interest rate you pay that determines whether national debt is affordable. Interest rates have fallen rapidly in the past two years, and the government issues a lot of short-term debt. Last week the Congressional Budget Office estimated that the government spent $228 billion on interest alone in Fiscal 2010. That's about what the government spent on debt service in Fiscal 2006, when the national debt was significantly smaller.

Affordable? Why in, good conscience, would anyone consider spending $228 billion on interest 'affordable'?

$228 billion of your tax money wasted, just thrown away, and you wonder why we can't afford healthcare? This has gone on for years and must stop.

Cash is power. Gold based standard is power. Mining for gold was down this year and must be stepped up.

Scientists found that a decline in the Sun's activity did not lead as expected to a cooling of the Earth, a surprise finding that could have repercussions for computer models on climate change.
The Sun's activity is known to wax and wane over 11-year cycles, which means that in theory the amount of radiation reaching Earth declines during the "waning" phase.

The new study was carried out between 2004 and 2007 during a solar waning phase.

The amount of energy in the ultraviolet part of the energy spectrum fell, the researchers found.

But, contrary to expectation, radiation in the visible part of the energy spectrum increased, rather than declined, which caused a warming effect.

The investigation, based mainly on satellite data, is important because of a debate over how far global warming is attributable to Man or to natural causes.

Climatologists say that warming is overwhelmingly due to man-made greenhouse gases -- invisible carbon emissions from coal, gas and coal that linger in the atmosphere and trap solar heat.

But a vocal lobby of sceptics say that this is flawed or alarmist, and point out that Earth has known periods of cooling and warming that are due to variations in the Sun's output.

They owned 163,828 houses at the end of March, a virtual city with more houses than Seattle. The mortgage finance companies, created by Congress to help Americans buy homes, have become two of the nation’s largest landlords."

“Our business is the American dream of home ownership,” Fannie Mae declared in its mission statement, and in 2001 the company set a target of helping to create 6 million new homeowners by 2014. Here in Arizona, during a housing boom fueled by cheap land, cheap money and population growth, Fannie Mae executives trumpeted that the company would invest $15 billion to help families buy homes.

Fannie and Freddie increased American home ownership over the last half-century by persuading investors to provide money for mortgage loans. The sales pitch amounted to a money-back guarantee: If borrowers defaulted, the companies promised to repay the investors.

Now that Health Care has passed, and as many State's Attorney Generals start lawsuits against the Federal Gov't for violating the Constitution and States Individual Rights, lets look back at what has happened in MA... the State the Health Care Bill was modeled after.

I am self-employed so I pay 100% of my Health Ins. Premiums. At the time the Bill was passed, I was paying $575/mo., now a short couple of years later I am paying $1100/mo. (w/no change in my health ). Every business has been hit with amazing increases and their employees contribution amount has gone up too.

There are two factors that have caused this;
First, You must have insurance or pay fines, so the law gives power to Insurance Co.'s to raise premiums.
Second, Having to cover people with pre-existing conditions, the Insurance Co.'s had to raise the rates in order to pay this expence.
Now, the whole Nation will experience this increase in rates.

The Health Bill didn't create open-borders for Interstate competition, it left the monopolies within state borders.
The Bill doesn't have 'tort' reform to manage fraudulant lawsuits. (Remember, most representative in our Gov't are lawyers)

On Feb.14th, the director of the CRU, Phil Jones “conceded the possibility that the World was warmer in Medieval times than now - suggesting that global warming is not man-made“. He also agreed, “that he lacked organizational skills, that his office was swamped with piles of paper, and that his record keeping is not as good as it should be“. He also admitted “that he has trouble ‘keeping track’ of information”.
On Feb 12th, the IPCC released a ‘background note,’ admitting that its 2007 report wrongly stated that 55 percent of the Netherlands lies beneath sea level. In fact, only 26 percent of the country lies below sea level. “This admission is another example of how the IPCC work is riddled with sloppiness.”
The statement, “NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies temperature analysis for 2009 tied with the second warmest year in the 130 years of global instrumental temp. records”, by James Hanson on Realclimate.org (a climate-scientist hangout), was all faked. Meteorologist Anthony Watts and Joseph D’Aleo (co-founder of the Weather Channel) demonstrate that NOAA, which shares temperature data with GISS and CRU, systematically eliminated weather-measuring stations in a deliberate attempt to manipulate data. Nixed were stations in higher elevations, higher altitude, and rural areas (in other words, cooler stations) to keep temps. Artificially hotter to ‘prove’ AGW. Watts and D’Aleo chronicle the elimination of stations from 6000 down to 1500 along with outright rigging the numbers. Their conclusion: “Instrumental temperature data for the pre-satellite era (1850-1980) have been so widely, systematically, and unidirectionally tampered with that it cannot be credibly asserted there has been any significant ‘global warming’ in the 20th century.”

IPCC chairman Rajendra Pachauri said in The Guardian, “You can’t expect me to personally be responsible for every word in the 3000 page report” when asked if he would apologize for false claims. In the New York Times he said, “My conscience is clear”, on accusations that he has profited from his IPCC position. His company, The Energy and Resources Institute(TERI), September 2008, was approved a $500,000 one-time grant by Carnegie Corp. to the Iceland-based Global Centre towards research on water-related security and humanitarian challenges to South Asia posed by the melting Himalayan glaciers (Rajendra Pachauri’s The Energy and Resources Institute (Teri) in New Delhi directly or indirectly, through the Global Centre in Iceland, which was supposedly working with Teri on the crisis presented by vanishing glaciers) The US charity’s money wasn’t squandered on a Himalayan blunder, did the centre and Carnegie smell a rat? The grant never happened despite being approved in September 2008.
It’s terribly odd for a receiver of a grant to turn down generous funding unless the centre felt the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report that climate change was likely to melt most of the Himalayan glaciers by 2035 was far-fetched.
Recently, TERI received a large grant to hire Syed Hasnain to research his own speculative remark from 1999.

“The Carnegie Corporation of New York, one of America’s leading and oldest charities, on Wednesday refused to be dragged into the ‘Glaciergate’ scandal”.Times Online reported that bogus claims about the Himalayan glaciers melting by 2035 helped Teri get £310,000 from Carnegie. It said the money was initially given to the centre(Global Centre in Iceland), which channeled it, with Carnegie’s involvement, to Teri.
The Telegraph said bogus claims — now disowned by Pachauri — helped Teri win a substantial share of a $500,000 (Rs2.3 crore) grant from Carnegie along with a share in a 3million euro research study funded by the European Union.”
IPCC’s reports are based on ‘articles’, not scientific data(in other words “hear-say”). “Warmists” including the WWF, New Scientist and Guardian reported Fred Pearce have been used as ‘sources’, setting the IPCC up for humiliation as fact-based, scientific data started coming out.
Each week, each day, as new scientific data is released contradicting the IPCC’s reports, we will all find that ‘behind the curtain’ was and is billions of dollars and euros paid to the people and organizations involved. It was all about ‘the money’.

Disastors around the World are very advantageous to the U.N.'s IPCC and their co-conspiritors of "Global Warming", because it distracts the honest, hard-working citizens of the World. It allows the IPCC to sneak back into the background while it tries to figure out the proper "spin" on the increased number of Earthquakes and how it could be linked to global warming.

Reality is that as the "Caring Citizens of the World" figure out what they can do to help their "Fellow Citizens in Crisis", they are the ones actually improving the planet.....and .............

As the Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Sunamis, Solar Flares continue the Earth is taking care of itself as it always has, warming, cooling and shifting for millions of years.

"Almost as revealing as the leaked documents themselves, however, was the recent interview given to the BBC by the CRU's suspended director, Dr Phil Jones, who has played a central role in the global warming scare for 20 years, not least as custodian of the most prestigious of the four global temperature records relied on by the IPCC. In his interview Jones seemed to be chucking overboard one key prop of warmest faith after another, as he admitted that the world might have been hotter during the Medieval Warm Period 1,000 years ago than it is today, that before any rise in CO2 levels temperatures rose faster between 1860 and 1880 than they have done in the past 30 years, and that in the past decade their trend has been falling rather than rising.
The implications of all this for the warming scare, as it has been presented to us over the past two decades, can scarcely be overestimated. The reputation of the IPCC is in shreds. And this is to say nothing of the personal reputation of the man who was the mastermind of its 2007 report, its chairman, Dr Rajendra Pachauri.

Too many people have too much at stake to allow the faith in man-made global warming, which has sustained them so long and which is today making so many of them rich, to be abandoned. The so-called investigations into Climategate and Dr Michael "Hockey Stick" Mann seem like no more than empty establishment whitewashes. There is little reason to expect that the inquiry into the record of the IPCC and Dr Pachauri that is now being set up by the UN Environment Programme and the world's politicians will be very different.

Since 1988, when the greatest scare the world has seen got under way, hundreds of billions of pounds have been poured into academic research projects designed not to test the CO2 warming thesis but to take it as a given fact, and to use computer models to make its impacts seem as scary as possible. The new global "carbon trading" market, already worth $126 billion a year, could soon be worth trillions. Governments, including our own, are calling for hundreds of billions more to be chucked into absurd "carbon-saving" energy schemes, with the cost to be met by all of us in soaring taxes and energy bills.
With all this mighty army of gullible politicians, dutiful officials, busy carbon traders, eager "renewables" developers and compliant, funding-hungry academics standing to benefit from the greatest perversion of the principles of true science the world has ever seen, who are we to protest that their emperor has no clothes? (How apt that that fairy tale should have been written in Copenhagen.) Let all that fluffy white "global warming" continue to fall from the skies, while people shiver in homes that, increasingly, they will find they can no longer afford to heat. We have called into being a true Frankenstein's monster. It will take a mighty long time to cut it down to size."

It doesn't matter where you look at violence in the world, the constant deaths of hard-working men and women and their children comes back to the lack of 'decisiveness' to eliminate the enemies of these honest families.

History is the proof that "long-term Peace" has only followed after a 'decisive' war, it has never happened after a 'peace-agreement'. The enemy uses the weakness and naivete of the negotiating countries to further their warring ability.

Think About It:

North Korea, we have wasted decades with these people as they built up a nuclear arsenal.

Iran, the same thing.

Kosovo, Somalia, Palestinians, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Afghanistan ...... Every country that is having their honest, loving families killed is because of the lack of a decisive war to eliminate the terrorizing of their countries.

This is true anti-family policy by the leaders of the world involved in the 'negotiations' with the killers of societies.

Everyone braggs about reading "The Art of War", but don't understand what the enemies of the World have been doing all these years. They are naive!

You cannot be "Nice" and have "Peace"!

That is the way a child thinks, not a responsible, loving adult. Be cautious of what you let your own children be exposed to in school and college. Tell them the 'Truth'. Help them "grow up" to be good adults, loving parents and protective of their children and their society. They must know that until an enemy has been reduced in numbers (killed) to the point that they surrender un-conditionally their families are in danger.

History has many examples of 'Good Leaders' that made the easy decision to WIN at All Costs, to save their families, their friends and their Nations.

More Factual evidence about Global Warming causes.

Did you know (?) the fact that the warmest year recorded globally was not in 2008 or 2007, but in 1998.
It is true. For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures.

Research conducted two years ago, and published by the Royal Society, seemed to rule out solar influences.

But one solar scientist Piers Corbyn from Weatheraction, a company specialising in long range weather forecasting, disagrees.

He claims that solar charged particles impact us far more than is currently accepted, so much so he says that they are almost entirely responsible for what happens to global temperatures.
He is so excited by what he has discovered that he plans to tell the international scientific community at a conference in London at the end of the month.
If proven correct, this could revolutionise the whole subject.

Again, I request that we all stop being Led-like-Lemmings by the manipulation of pieces-of-research.
Yes, We as responsible Citizens-of-the-World need to work toward less pollution, but WE all also have the responsibility of keeping a balance between Best for Civilization and Best for the Environment.
Most of the "Building of America" happened before the strangling-of-society restrictions of 1975 with the creation of the EPA, Endangered Species Act and OSHA. The problem with these fiefdoms is that there is no regulatory group to maintain a balance for the good of our Country and Society.
China is now starting to experience this too. The Environment regulators are hampering the advancement of their Nation and while China is trying to look good in the "World's Eyes", they have the advantage of Communism. The Government will not allow an imbalance between what is good for the environment and what is best for their Country.
We are ignorant, slow learners. While the majority of the working people of the USA have been raising families we allowed people with naive,child-like, "Polly-Ann-ish" minds to get into power positions that have been detrimental to the "Good-of-Our-Nation".
I must say that I am bothered to witness the demise of Our Nation, but it was predicted by Ben Franklin in 1776.

Why did liquidity disappear?

　 Financial Institutions in the U.S. considered operating with two trillion dollars in cash and 50 trillion dollars in credit to be OK, but when liquidity disappeared everyone tried to settle at once. Financial Institutions ceased to function in the normal manner.

The question that should be asked by not just people in the Financial sector, but by Investigative Reporters is: “What are the ‘factors’ which caused the liquidity to disappear?” The term investigative reporter has become an oxy-moron which we witness on a daily basis in print, on the radio and on TV. There are few investigative reporters, just news readers.

A majority answer to that question is OIL PRICES between 2006 and 2008. Over 4000 products come from oil. It is part of everything we buy and need. When the cost of an ingredient triples in price over two years who do you think pays for this, as the Mercantile Exchange Traders got RICH, consumers around the World!

Over time the economies around the World will all reset at a lower debt to cash ratio. Unemployment will remain high for many years, because there will not be a need to re-hire.

The consumers will not go back to their wasteful ways they will continue to be thrift full, like their ancestors that live through the Great Depression.

Over 6 million un-employed in the USA and counting…

As the numbers rise there is also the fall-out of those un-employed that are at the end of receiving un-employment moneys from the Government, lessening the burden on tax-payers, but sending those people into ruin and bankruptcy, with little hope of finding a job soon.
Those let go are the “surplus” of employees no longer needed to make a company profitable. They will not be needed again and when they do find work it will be for a lot less pay. Squeezed out of careers by the “glut” of oil traders around the world, that made millions of dollars as the hard working people sank into poverty. Proof that there is a problem with “free trade” without “regulation”.
What impact is this having on your family? If they are at the top of their field, they will probably keep their job, but won’t see any “cost-of-living” increases in pay anytime soon.
It is easy to “point fingers” at other countries and their policies, but we should understand that the deception taught to us from professors and businessmen since the ‘60’s was “flawed” and has led the World to this demise.
Throwing money at the financial problems from governments around the World will not fix it, just put off what really needs to be done……take pride enough in “ones” country to regulate in a manor which is best for “ones” citizens.
Let’s all start today to demand each of “our” countries regulate business and trade to benefit each of our own countries individually.

In their report on FOOD, they touched on the price and link to oil
I have heard few reports putting the impact of $147/ barrel oil in detail.
Since they grazed over oil in your food report, I will continue in the context of FOOD.
At it‘s peak, $147 per barrel was more than three times the price in Fall 2006 when Hurricane Katrina hit the USA. Speculation by the Mercantile Exchange and the Media sent prices soaring in the US based on the “fear-mongering” about possible shortages and people at the “merc.” got rich overnight. This was followed by the promotion of the idea of $100 per barrel oil and then $150 per barrel oil.

So here’s some of the impact $147 per barrel oil had on FOOD;

Gas and Diesel for transportation
Gas and Diesel for Farming and Harvesting equipment
Oil for heat I factories, farming, homes, etc.
Lubrication of machines and equipment
Fertilizer, insecticides, cleaning agents
Plastic packaging
Tires

And more
There are more than 4,000 different petrochemical products, that means more than 4000 different products that tripled in cost when Crude Oil hit $147 per barrel.

Those which are considered as basic products include ethylene, propylene, butadiene, benzene, ammonia and methanol. The main groups of petrochemical end-products are plastics, synthetic fibres, synthetic rubbers, detergents and chemical fertilisers. Other useful products which are not fuels can also be manufactured by refining crude oil, such as lubricants and asphalt (used in paving roads). A range of sub-items like perfumes and insecticides are also ultimately derived from crude oil.

A barrel of oil yields these refined products (percent of barrel):

47% gasoline for use in automobiles
23% heating oil and diesel fuel
18% other products, which includes petrochemical feedstock — products derived from petroleum principally for the manufacturing of chemicals, synthetic rubber and plastics
10% jet fuel
4% propane
3% asphalt

(Percentages equal more than 100 because of an approximately 5% processing gain from refining.)

The most common products from petroleum are energy products: gasoline, heating oil, and diesel fuel. Other petroleum products are: ink, crayons, bubble gum, dishwashing liquids, deodorant, eyeglasses, records, tires, ammonia, and heart valves.

So, the tripling of crude oil impacted almost everything in our economy, especially our family budgets.

All businesses in the World had expenses triple in cost and what did they do? They cut jobs and pay instead of demanding higher prices for their services and passing on a 40% cost-of-living to their employees.

Families were forced by the cost-of-living increase to cut back and/or spend on credit, stopping the cash flow to businesses and then the banks. Many finally were forced to file bankruptcy.
Hence, the collapse of the World economy over a 2 year period, starting after Hurricane Katrina hit the USA in the Fall of 2006.

So, do you see the connection of the price of crude oil to the Global Financial Crisis now?

Lincoln Freed the slaves over 165 years ago, but still they want somebody to take care of them instead of them "stepping up" and taking care of themselves.
Generation after generation living on Social Services provided by Governments and always asking for more like they're "entitled". The latest example of wanting the Government to take care of them instead of them taking "responsibility" is the Naacp in Harrisburg,PA.
Shootings there have increased so they want the governor to declare martial law and bring in the National Guard.
Why do we let them do this over and over? Why aren't the honest, working tax-payer demanding them to be responsible and making sure our Representatives in Gov't follow through?

Without question, pride of place must go to Jefferson as the author of the Declaration of Independence. That document established Jefferson as one of America’s great political poets, second only to Abraham Lincoln.
That abstract truth, of course, was that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.—That to secure these rights Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”
At the same time, Jefferson believed that constitutions must keep pace with the times. If the people wished to alter their frame of government, say, to fund public improvements or education, they were free to do so. But they should do so by constitutional amendment and not by allowing their representatives to construe the powers of government broadly. He particularly objected to the Court’s sitting in judgment on the powers of the legislative and executive branches, or acting as an umpire between the states and the federal government. To cede to the judiciary this authority, he believed, would render the Constitution a “ball of wax” in the hands of federal judges. In his battles with Chief Justice John Marshall, he defended the principle of coordinate construction, as Lincoln (and almost every strong president since then) did after him, arguing that each branch of government must determine for itself the constitutionality of its acts.
Jefferson also believed that Republicanism was more than just a set of institutional arrangements; at bottom, it depended upon the character of the people. To keep alive this civic spirit, he championed public education for both boys and girls, with the most talented boys going on at public expense all the way through college.

Today’s attitude…. Ignore the Heroes

Today, no history textbook is let out unless it highlights the insignificant, reduces absolutes to local accident, and eliminates grand narratives in favor of a collection of tales, full of sound and fury, whose chief goal is to elicit pity, sympathy or guilt.
Where are all the heroes? Great deeds somehow keep on being done, but we have lost a capacity to see them as great.
Today, in this age of post-heroism that somewhere, we can be sure some voice will tell us that this is all farce---that this person cannot be a hero because he/she was a racist, or that he/she was rotten, exploitative, capitalist, war-mongering, imperialist, Christ-loving, minority-massacring, etc., etc.
The post-World War One cultural malaise, which inaugurated an era of literary debunking and political minimalism, curved the arc downwards, away from the wise and heroic.
The price we pay for this, in our schools and in our public discourse as well as in our statuary, is a steep one. Political systems, whether constitutional regimes or political parties, rest on a bedrock of culture—of certain shared assumptions, rituals, and unexamined attitudes—which can sometimes seem to have the stolid immovability of granite, and which at others can seem to have the fragility of snow crusts. The difference is made by confidence, which itself is composed in equal parts of practical results and constant reminders. So a constitutional regime appears to be a collection of laws and statutes; but those laws and statutes depend first on a reverence for words, for reason, and for orderliness. And that reverence must grow both from the confidence that words, reasons, order, laws and statutes really do protect and assist them, and from the constant dinning into the ears of its citizens that same confidence.
For the well educated parents, they understand what has been done over the past 80 years. This “demonizing”, “playing-down”, and “editing of history” has increased dramatically since the ‘60’s. The damage to our culture and society is now so apparent you see it everywhere you turn.
Finding good schools that educate students, independent of Government meddling is very hard, but one of those schools is Hillsdale College.

Why is everyone so stupid?

With all the ‘financial wizards’ in the news and Gov’t, how can they not recognize what has happened to the U.S. and the Global economies and how we got here?
It is one thing to remember that that oil spiked after Hurricane Katrina in ‘06, because of the speculation fear promoted by people in the Mercantile Exchange and the Media followed by the promotion/speculation and finally hitting of $150 barrel oil, but the Global response by businesses around the world is inexcusable.
Where in the history of “business” does a manufacturer/ retailer experiencing 40% increases in costs, not raise their rates.
Heating costs tripled in price, lubrication for machines went up 40%, distribution went up 40%, petroleum ingredients went up 150% and on and on. Every product in the world uses oil in its manufacturing and distribution. So I ask you, if every business in the world is experiencing these pressures where was the unified increase in rates charged? Is it because of the ‘theories’ being taught at Universities since the ‘60’s, or are there too many managers in positions they are not ‘right’ for , “playing it safe”?
If your CFO goes before the Board and tells them ( with numbers) that they need to raise their prices to stay in business, why didn’t they? We know that businesses were told by the lay-off’s and pay cuts. What kind of business just takes more and more from their hard working employees/tax-payers so it can meet their ‘bottom line’?
If all businesses had met the price increases with a 40 to 50% increase in rates they would have averted most of the damage done to the Financial Institutions around the World, plus having money to give “cost-of-living” increases to their employees staving off most of the bankruptcies and home foreclosures.
This whole ‘pile of cards’ is linked to the irrational decisions, maybe fear, from every business in the World.
Maybe it is just a reflection of “Human” nature that “things will turn-around and get better”. Guess what…It Didn’t!

Food Crops at risk as temperatures fall

It is now more than 200 years since the great astronomer William Herschel observed a correlation between wheat prices and sunspots. When the latter were few in number, he noted, the climate turned colder and drier, crop yields fell and wheat prices rose. In the past two years, sunspot activity has dropped to its lowest point for a century. One of our biggest worries is that our politicians are so fixated on the idea that CO2 is causing global warming that most of them haven't noticed that the problem may be that the world is not warming but cooling, with all the implications that has for whether we get enough to eat.

Three factors are vital to crops: the light and warmth of the sun, adequate rainfall and the carbon dioxide they need for photosynthesis. As we are constantly reminded, we still have plenty of that nasty, polluting CO2, which the politicians are so keen to get rid of. But there is not much they can do about the sunshine or the rainfall.

It is appropriate that another contributory factor to the world's food shortage should be the millions of acres of farmland now being switched from food crops to biofuels, to stop the world warming, Last year even the experts of the European Commission admitted that, to meet the EU's biofuel targets, we will eventually need almost all the food-growing land in Europe. But that didn't persuade them to change their policy. They would rather we starved than did that.

Everything that has happened to American Families, and the Financial Markets is linked to OIL.

There have been questionable mortgages made over the past few years, but this does not account for the millions of American Families and Businesses that cannot pay their bills. It's the 45 to 50% increase in the Cost-of-Living.

Why did Wall Street run out of money?

Primarily, defaults on mortgages, business loans and credit cards.

Why can't people pay their mortgages, business loans and credit cards?

The Cost-of-Living has gone up 45 -50 %. Businesses cannot raise their prices enough to keep paying their own bills just to stay in business, or to give employees the 45 to 50% Cost-of-Living raises they need to keep paying their bills.

When did this start?

After Hurricane Catrina.

When did the housing market dramatically slow down?
After Hurricane Catrina.

What happened when Hurricane Catrina hit?
The "Fear Mongers" around the Mercantile Exchange threatened OIL shortages. Did the Media do investigative research, NO! With help from the naive Media, the "Merc." drove prices so high that Traders were reportedly making a whole years income in One Week of Trading!
Was there ever a shortage of OIL ?
NO!

What happens next?
The "cost of living" starts going up, about a 20% increase, putting strain on the budgets of every family in America. Mortgage defaults start, along with more debt being put on credit cards as the "Working Americans" wait for the cost of living to drop back down from Government intervention or normal Capitalism self-adjustment. We all saw that it didn't happen. So, the American Family choose "Family" first, Credit Corporations last. Thus the current Wall Street Crisis.

What happened that drove up the Cost-of-Living?

The "speculators" in the Mercantile Exchange using fear to artificially drive the price of OIL over $145.00 a barrel, causing a "ripple-effect" into every manufactured product in the world. Not just the gas and diesel prices to transport it. Everything we buy either has petroleum products in them or are distributed for consumers using petroleum products. The "media" focuses on the "small picture" of the price of gas at the pump, that is not the real story.

Why does OIL have so much Power-Over-America?

Starting in 1975 with the creation of OSHA, Endangered Species Act and the EPA companies could not afford to run businesses in the USA anymore. Rather than working together, these new agencies with their power, feeding their "ego's", started giving out ultimatums, so companies left to find more friendly countries, and they did. This includes oil companies. Even with new technology, they are given so many "hoops" to "jump through" by special interest groups and their friends in the EPA, OSHA, DEP, etc. that there has been no new refineries built in the US since the '70's. This is not about R O I of the oil companies, it's about the restrictions from a few impacting the "Working American".

In 1977, Nuclear energy and "spent" Uranium bills were signed. This has put us decades behind France and other European Countries that produce most of their electricity with Nuclear Plants and use the "spent" Uranium for advancement in Health, Science and other areas, reducing the uranium "footprint" that has to be stored safely away from civilization.

The working citizens of America are "Paying-the-Price" now for the "Naive", "Child-like" thinking from years ago that has finally caught up with us.

Have "WE" as a Nation learned from this?

Sort-of. A bill recently passed and signed has America's interests in it. A bill that allows offshore drilling as a "short-term" fix, as more and more tax dollars are spent trying to develop new efficient types of energy for the "long-term". This is what is called a "Win-Win" solution, to quote Dennis Waitley. This is probably the most mature, "adult" action from our elected servants in Washington that has come out of their in a Century!

What About The Bad Loans Made By The Banks?

Yes, there has been a small percentage of bad loans made, but that is not the primary problem.

This is called an "easy target", which has been made popular since the '60's, of attacking the Government and "big" Business by special interest groups, college professors and the "media".

"Fairness In Reporting" was elimanated in the '80's, so now the "media" mostly gives you just one side of the story. Usually the one the editorial staff and owners support.

Investigative Reporting has been replaced by "News Readers". We see this or hear this on every News report. The stories come from AP,Reuters, BBC, al-Jazeera, not professional journalists in these companies doing the investigations themselves. We, the American Working Public are left with mediocre reporting from the media. This is not the "Walter Cronkite" quality of the '60's that we should trust.

The hard working American Family has little time to do their own research into news stories, though it is easier and done more frequently now because of the internet. This works out well for the "media", they tell the story the way they want or were told and collect their paycheck. Truth and Quality doesn't matter, this is evident in their actions. That is where the nickname "drive-by-media" comes from. ( I believe it was a reported as a quote from Rush Limbaugh years ago ) Remember, the media is never "held accoutable" for bad reporting, even when they report lies that destroy people and companies. They don't apologize, because that could mean they were "liable" and could be sued. They only offer "corrections" buried way in the back of the paper.Hense, the "weak" reporting of the "housing and mortgage" problems. I believe a "High School Student" would have done a better job.

Now, Back To The Loans;

So, what's the background leading up to the "mortgage" crisis? Where do you start?

Let's start with Honest Ideals.

1968, Truth in Lending Act was to assure a meaningful disclosure of credit terms so that the consumer will be able to compare more readily the various credit terms available to him or her. This bill opened the door for vehicle leasing and other durable goods.

Honesty Leaves America!

1977, Jimmy Carter, then the President,
signed "The Community Reinvestment Act" ("CRA"). Congress debated the Act, because critics charged that the law would "distort credit markets, create unnecessary regulatory burden, lead to unsound lending, and cause the governmental agencies charged with implementing the law to allocate credit."
The Act charged the Federal Reserve System to implement the CRA through ensuring banks and savings and loans met their CRA obligations. The CRA is also enforced by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation ("FDIC") CRA Statute

1989, Financial Institutions Reform Recovery and Enforcement Act As part of a general reform of the banking industry, it increased public oversight of the process of issuing CRA ratings to banks. Also required was a four-tiered CRA examination rating system with performance levels of "Outstanding," "Satisfactory," "Needs to Improve," or "Substantial Noncompliance." This law greatly increased the ability of advocacy groups, researchers, and other analysts to "perform more-sophisticated, quantitative analyses of banks' records," thereby influencing the lending policies of banks.
1992,Federal Housing Enterprises Financial Safety and Soundness Act.This act required the Federal National Mortgage Association, commonly known as Fannie Mae, and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, commonly known as Freddie Mac, to devote a percentage of their lending to support affordable housing. This in part, contributed to increased Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pooling and selling of such loans as securities, (i.e. securitization), and expanded the secondary market for those loans.
1993, President Clinton asked regulators to reform the CRA in order to reduce paperwork and reward performance. Using federal home-loan data broken down by neighborhood, income group, and race; encouraging community groups to complain when banks were not loaning enough to specified neighborhood, income group, and race; allowing community groups that marketed loans to targeted groups to collect a fee from the banks.
1995, William A. Niskanen, in congressional hearings,and chair of the Cato Institute, criticized the proposals for political favoritism in allocating credit and micromanagement by regulators.He predicted they would be very costly to the economy and banking system. He recommended Congress repeal the Act.
1999,Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act , also known as the "Financial Services Modernization Act". Senators Christopher Dodd and Charles E. Schumer broke a deadlock by forcing a compromise between Gramm and the Clinton administration which wanted to prevent banks from expanding into insurance or securities unless they were compliant with the CRA.President Clinton said that it, "establishes the principles that, as we expand the powers of banks, we will expand the reach of the Community Reinvestment Act".
2005, Office of Thrift Supervision implemented new rules that – according to Congressional Democrats – substantially weakened the CRA. A letter protesting these changes, because they undercut the ability of the CRA to "meet the needs of low and moderate-income persons and communities". (quotas)
2007,Ben Bernanke suggested further increasing the presence of Sallie Mae and Freddie Mac in the affordable housing market to help banks fulfill their CRA obligations by providing them with more opportunities to securitize CRA-related loans.

What do all these laws have in common? They all promote the "strong-arming" of the financial institutions to provide loans to under-qualified borrowers to meet quotas set up by politicians and "CRA". The FDIC strong-arming HUD, the HUD strong-arming Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac strong-arming the Financial Institutions to give out loans to "poor risk" borrowers. All the while, each "agency" giving the next the "wink" that they will all work together to bail each other out if the Financial Institutions collapse, AND HERE WE ARE !!
K. Engel and P. McCoy published a study of the predatory lending implications of the CRA, noting that by the late 1990s, predatory high cost mortgages to “gullible borrowers” were leading to foreclosures against low-income people of color and the elderly.

I Am Not Blaming The Banking Industry For The Mess Our Country is in Today.

The money "crunch" came from the 45 to 50% increase of the Cost-of-Living of Every American, because of Oil Prices.

We are not now and were not then (Catrina) preparing for the future of America or for our Children and Grandchildren. We have let "special interest" groups influence our leaders, betraying America's "Long-Term" interests. The foundation and "life-blood" of every country is Energy! Energy independance is VITAL forr every Countries Stability.

A diverse America with Multiple Sources of Energy and Refineries (in safe areas) is what is needed now and for the "long-term" stability of America and the American Family!

Democrats Refuse to Allow UK's Lord Christopher Monckton to Testify Alongside Gore At Congressional Hearing

Washington, DC -- UK's Lord Christopher Monckton, a former science advisor to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, claimed House Democrats have refused to allow him to appear alongside former Vice President Al Gore at a high profile global warming hearing on Friday April 24, 2009 at 10am in Washington. Rise of sea levels is 'the greatest lie ever told'

If one thing more than any other is used to justify proposals that the world must spend tens of trillions of dollars on combating global warming, it is the belief that we face a disastrous rise in sea levels. The Antarctic and Greenland ice caps will melt, we are told, warming oceans will expand, and the result will be catastrophe.
Although the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) only predicts a sea level rise of 59cm (17 inches) by 2100, Al Gore in his Oscar-winning film An Inconvenient Truth went much further, talking of 20 feet, and showing computer graphics of cities such as Shanghai and San Francisco half under water. We all know the graphic showing central London in similar plight. This may come as bad news for Al Gore. The modest global warming trend has stopped – maybe even reversed itself.

It's not just the record low temperatures experienced in much of the world this winter.
For at least the last five years, global temperatures have been falling, according to tracking performed by Roy Spencer, the climatologist formerly of NASA.

The Arctic sea ice has grown more on a percentage basis this winter than it has since 1979.

The number of polar bears has risen 25 percent in the past decade. There are 15,000 of them in the Arctic now, where 10 years ago there were 12,000.

"The most recent global warming that began in 1977 is over, and the Earth has entered a new phase of global cooling," says Don Easterbrook, professor of geology at Western Washington University in Bellingham, confidently. He maintains a switch in Pacific Ocean currents "assures about three decades of global cooling. New solar data showing unusual absence of sun spots and changes in the sun’s magnetic field suggest ... the present episode of global cooling may be more severe than the cooling of 1945 to 1977."

Scientists meet to dispute global warming theory

The "A- list" of climate-change skeptics is meeting in New York City for the 2009 International Conference on Climate Change.

The Conference is international in scope.

Featured at the conference will be more than 70 scientists who do not subscribe to the notion that so-called global warming is driven by manmade emissions of carbon dioxide, one of those being Harrison "Jack" Schmitt -- one of the last astronauts to walk on the moon.

"What we are trying to accomplish with this conference is to present to the politicians and to the public that the debate is not over about global warming or climate change; that there is plenty of room for disagreement; and that sound science shows that the earth is not warming," says Miller. "For much of the latter part of the 20th century there's been a mild warming as we come out of an ice age -- but the planet today is much cooler than it was a thousand years ago."

Besides the 70+ scientists at this conference, more than 650 scientists worldwide have expressed skepticism over manmade climate change.

There was a 'do-good-er' effort to get the parakeets to use man-made nesting areas, but that didn't work. The power companies, in an effort to protect the public, including children that may be playing under or near these poles, are now killing some of them to reduce the threat to public safety and power outages.

Unconcerned with the well-being of children and the public, the "Friends of Animals"
of Darien, CT. have filed to prevent the Power Companies from doing what is necessary to serve the public.

Yes, the birds are cute, but I find 'children' much more cute and deserving than birds.
Would you place the life of a bird over that of your child ?

The center said real-time data on sea ice is always less reliable than archived numbers because full checks haven’t yet been carried out. Historical data is checked across other sources, it said.
The NSIDC uses Department of Defense satellites to obtain its Arctic sea ice data rather than more accurate National Aeronautics and Space Administration equipment. That’s because the defense satellites have a longer period of historical data, enabling scientists to draw conclusions about long-term ice melt, the center said.

The recovery of the earth's climate from the little ice age started about 200 years ago, but the concentration of the atmospheric carbon dioxide started to increase significantly as late as in the 1950s, probably due to rapidly increased burning of fossil fuels.
The climate recovery is still an ongoing process today. A natural warming rate of roughly 0.5 deg C /100 years has been the baseline for more than 100 years, but both short (a few years) and long (20 years) fluctuations around the baseline have occurred for natural but highly speculative reasons, for example a rapid warming in the 1930s followed by a cooling period, and recently again warming until about 1998.
According to the UK climate panel IPCC, this last warming period has been forced by increased carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere. There is however no proof of that and the theory of how carbon dioxide influences the global mean temperature is complicated and unreliable. And if the global temperature again starts to increase slower than the natural long-term trend of 0.5 deg C/100 years, or even starts to cool, we can be quite certain that the recent faster warming trends have been natural too.
It has been widely discussed if the satellite-derived global temperature measurements that show only little warming should be more reliable than the temperatures obtained on the ground that show more warming. But after 1995 both sources show about the same, (see graphs below drawn from Hadley-data (ground) and satellite data (NASA)).
A good reason to start a diagram from 1995 is that since that year no big (cooling) volcano eruptions have disturbed the temperature trend. Contrary to common belief, there has been no or little global warming since 1995 and this is shown by two completely independent datasets.
The curves look very normal and it seems probable that the natural recovery from the little ice age has went on without any significant decelerations or accelerations caused by human activity.
It is impossible to say what is going to happen in the future. But so far, real measurements give no ground for concern about a catastrophic future warming.

Fact: Animal populations in the arctic regions will decrease with less food to sustain herds. Harsh weather also kills of the weak, leaving strong herds for better reproduction.

Remember: In the '70's, the same 'global warming' activists were 'global freezing' activists.

UN Resolution 181, 1947. The Arab League didn't like the proposal, but lost the vote. The UN Resolution Passed. Approved by the General Assembly on November 29, 1947 to terminate the British Mandate of Palestine by August 1, 1948, and facilitate the creation of two states, one Jewish and one Arab.

In 1937, the "League Of Nations" would not go along with a mandate. A proposal to partition Palestine into a Jewish and an Arab state started.
Using the politics of lobbying and partitioning, Jewish Leaders gained support. The "Holocost" pushed it over the edge.

Discontent amongst the Arabs soon led to violence, attacking the Jewish people. Murders, reprisals, and counter-reprisals came one after the other, killing dozens of victims, esculating into War. The Arab attacks started the war of 1947-1948. In the course of this attack and future attacks starting wars the Arabs lost more and more territory.

Israel used these areas as 'buffers' to protect their Nation. That is what "responsible" leadership does in a country. Only naive, child-like minds don't realize and understand this.

The UN has gone after Israel every time they are forced to protect their children from Arab attacks. Why doesn't the UN want to protect Jewish Children?

Now, Israel has stopped their "Defensive" under another "peace treaty" and they are under attack again by Hamas. I guess that "mortor attacks" don't count in Israel, only in your neighborhood, right UN.

Since 2005, when Israel turned over Gaza to the Palestinians, there has been hundreds of rockets and mortars fired into their towns killing children, destroying families. Would you tolerate your families being attacked for 3 years?
Turning over Gaza was to appease the naive, child-like thinking in the UN and peace groups. The historians and investigative reporters told us what would happen, but nobody wanted the truth, based on historical facts. Those of us that are "learned" also knew what would happen. Hamas took over and destroyed the industries that were built and left by the Israelis that were forced out of their homes by this peace deal and started attacking Israel.

Three years later and there is no advancement or improvement of the 'quality of life' in Gaza. Why, Hamas took power and Waged War instead of Helping Their People. They did not advance their society and build for the future 'good' of their people.

After many attacks, Israel built a security fence as a "passive" way to try to protect their people and there were protests. What is wrong with trying to protect your children from harm? Do these protestors and groups really hate children so much or just Jews?

Now, Israel was forced to make a move to protect it's people, routing out the terrorists in Hamas and immediately the cries from the naive protesters and the UN for Israel to stop rang out. The Jewish leaders calling for a 'cease-fire', even as their children and friends are dieing from attacks by Hamas, are a just another example of wealthy, naive, liberals. Human Rights Watch and Caritas Internationalis are more examples. Where were the demands from these elitist for the past 3 years for Hamas to stop? Nowhere!! These are all examples of the liberal, elitism mindset,"we expect people like Hamas to act like this", so they don't demand for them to be "civil". "That's just the way they are".

Do these protesters and groups hate Jews and their children so much that they just want to let them die at the hands of Hamas?

So now there is a "peace deal" again. Israel is to stop attacks on Hamas. What demands are being placed on Hamas? Nothing!!
There was no mention of Hamas anywhere in this new peace deal.
Evolving talks over Gaza ceasefire are now addressing 'sticking' points, like "demands" on Hamas.

US says ceasefire must include end to Hamas rocket fire .
